Ponds
New ponds, restorations, cleanouts, and enlargements built around soil, water source, and overflow.
Pond services
Our services
In Florida, most dirt problems are really water problems. We build and restore ponds, correct drainage, and stabilize erosion across Ocala and Marion County — starting with where the water comes from and where it needs to go.
What we do
Most land problems we see are a single issue wearing different clothes: water with nowhere to go. The fix depends on which problem you have.
New ponds, restorations, cleanouts, and enlargements built around soil, water source, and overflow.
Pond services
Standing water, runoff, and crossings corrected with planned swales, culverts, and grade.
Drainage services
Washed-out banks, ditches, and outlets stabilized, armored, and redirected for the long term.
Erosion servicesPonds
A good pond is more than a hole in the ground. It is the right depth, the right banks, and an overflow that keeps the pond — and the ground around it — working for years.
New pond excavation with close attention to soil, water source, access, and overflow. We build the basin and banks to match how your property actually drains.
Bring a shallow, eroded, or poorly functioning pond back to life with sediment removal and bank repairs that restore depth and a clean waterline.
Remove accumulated sediment, muck, and debris that have stolen usable depth and made the pond harder to maintain.
Expand an existing pond by evaluating the surrounding ground, soil, and water flow before moving any earth.

Drainage
Standing water, soggy pastures, and washouts all trace back to the same root cause: water is not being directed. We design and shape a path for it.
Diagnose and correct standing water, runoff, and poor surface drainage by finding where water enters and where it can leave.
Shape channels that carry runoff along a planned route through your property instead of pooling where it does damage.
Driveway and farm-road culverts installed with attention to elevation, inlet, outlet, and stone protection at both ends.
Keep access routes from washing out or ponding with proper crowning, ditches, and crossings.
Wet pastures, barn areas, and paddock access corrected so horses and equipment are not standing in water.
Retention-area cleanout and drainage earthwork for HOAs and commercial properties with shared stormwater systems.
Erosion & Stormwater
Once water starts cutting a channel, it only gets worse. We stabilize the exposed ground and redirect the water that caused the problem in the first place.
Stabilize pond banks and slopes that are eroding, so the waterline stays put and the surrounding ground stays intact.
Riprap and stone armoring at the transition between water and land, protecting shorelines from wave and runoff damage.
Repair washed-out ditches, culvert outlets, and spillways with practical grading and stone before small damage becomes structural.
Slow and redirect stormwater before it cuts, keeping runoff from taking your topsoil with it.
How we work
Every project starts the same way: we figure out the water before we move the dirt. Meet Stillwater to see who is on the other end of that process.
We walk the site, look at where water enters and leaves, and review soil, access, and grade.
We identify why water is misbehaving and what will actually fix it — not just a temporary patch.
You get a clear scope of work and a straightforward explanation before any earth moves.
Our crews complete the work with the right equipment, then we confirm the water flows the way it should.
Common questions
Yes. We build new ponds and restore existing ones on residential acreage, farms, and larger rural properties. The key questions are water source, soil, access for equipment, and where overflow will go. Those factors shape whether a site can support a pond and what it will take.
Every property is different, so we price after walking the site. Pond size, soil, access, and how far spoil has to move all affect the cost. Drainage work depends on where the water is coming from and where it can go. Request an evaluation and we will confirm the scope before any dirt moves.
Yes. Horse-farm drainage is a large part of our work across the Ocala area. We correct wet pastures, barn areas, and access routes so horses and equipment are not standing in water after rain.
We are based in Ocala and serve Marion County and surrounding communities, including Belleview, Dunnellon, Anthony, Reddick, Citra, McIntosh, and Summerfield. Most projects are within about 45 miles of Ocala.
Timing depends on scope and weather. A straightforward drainage correction can often be completed quickly once scheduled, while a larger pond excavation or restoration takes longer. After evaluating your site, we can give you a realistic timeline.
Usually, yes. Standing water is almost always a drainage problem — either the water has no route out, or the grade is moving it the wrong direction. We trace where the water enters and where it can leave, then correct the grade, swale, or outlet.
